Atlanta University of Health Science is a member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

CHEA is a non-profit organization which acts as the national policy center and clearing house on accreditation for the entire higher education community throughout the U.S.A.

This status is effective for a period of up to five years. TRACS is recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDOE), the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), and the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE).
